2nd annual utah valley ping pong tournament

what a party!  joe held his 2nd annual ping pong tourney.  he had more players this year, more tables, and he even had a kids bracket.  vivint let us invade their gym which was perfect!  there was a lot of ping pong, a lot of treats, a lot of friends, but the best part was scott rees.  he came ready to play!!!

the golden paddle trophy went to brady wells!  his dad won it last year.  something about those wells boys!  nic anderson won the 16 & under.  practice, practice--the 3rd annual is coming up!

more pictures coming.................as soon as i move them from my iphone to computer!

"how"

my two little native americans had to dress up for preschool.  they are legit!

first snow of the season!

the first and kind of only snow of the season was very exciting to the twins.  they made a snowman but it turned into more of a snow tower!

notice boston's two different gloves!  and purple! santa hadn't brought new gloves yet!

reflections winner!

sailor, reflections winner again!  she took photos when we went on our race/hike and she won! such a talent:)

amazing

skylar flying through the air and doing her floor routine is one of my most favorite things to see.  this picture is from what is probably her last gym performance.  it was a fantastic ride and honestly one of the highlights of my life--having her amaze me every single time i watched her and also being a state champion! so so proud of you!

hippie child

i have a thing for little boys and long-ish hair.  if i could figure out how to keep boston's hair out of his eyes, i would keep growing it.  but, hairspray will only do so much (don't tell his friends that his mom hairsprays his hair!) i just had to snap a few pics--this is longest his hair has ever been.  now that i've cut it, i wish i would have kept growing it!  i guess we can start over!

birthday giving

sailor followed the tradition of hayden and sky and donated her birthday gifts to the united way.  this is a thing we do in our family when the kids turn 12.  yes, she needed a little talking into it (and i mean very little), and she was glad she did it.

trick or treat!

miss america + captain america

i love the wave!

don't mess with captain america!
the mad hatter! after begging sailor to be a sailor, she wouldn't give in.  we bought this the night before.  i think it turned out super cute!  she looked much older than 12 and i think she really really liked it!

sailor and her rockin' friend, isabelle

sailor's teacher always has the most amazing costumes.  this year was no exception!  how cool is she?!

sailor and her best friend, emma, had the same costume!
cindy lou-who!  skylar thought of this the night before too.  she came up with the entire costume herself!

before trick-or-treating, everyone met at grandma's house!  we were delighted to see monet dressed up as alice!  we just had to get a picture of the mad hatter with alice!

jordan and kasey thought it would be real funny to dress up as chris & lisel.  and it was funny!!!  they did a super job!  chris and lisel laughed their heads off!  they even have a little "chicken" just like baby canyon!
jordan-christian, kasey-lisel, brigham-cowboy, taryn & jason- 70's couple, hayden-doctor, ellery-indian, cade-jedi, skylar-cindy lou-who, sadie-grandpa, paige-dutch girl, sailor-mad hatter, sage-santa claus, cooper-jack sparrow, asher-indian chief, finn-monster, boston-captain america, brighton-miss america, monet-alice, holland-watermelon, canyon-chicken!

 santa and cindy!
trying to get a group shot!   ya right, they were ready for candy!

official birthday

sailor's official birthday came on the day we had to drive home from california.  i don't know if i mentioned it before, but we surprised the kids with this california trip.  we knew sailor wouldn't be too excited about sitting in a car her whole entire birthday but she was a pretty good sport about it.  we made sure to make the day extra special for her.  we decorated her california bedroom with balloons!
knowing this might be our last time staying at the beach house, we had to get a picture of the kids out in front.

one of the kid's favorite things to do at the beach house is to skateboard down the walkways that run through the neighborhood.  i've never watched them before and it's probably best that i hadn't because i don't think i would have let them do it had i known how fast they get going down those hills!  before piling into the car we let them take one last ride and i watched this time (with my hands partially covering my eyes!).

sailor really wanted to stop at the roller coaster in primm.  since it was her birthday, her wish was granted!  we met up with jordan, richey, and adam(?).  they all screamed like girls!
we got home safely and the next day celebrated my and sailor's birthdays.  lucky girl--she got 3 birthday celebrations this year!
