what we've been up to:

we have a teenager

hayden had 3 days of parties for his birthday weekend (can you
say spoiled?!) movie and denny's with his best friends on friday.


on his actual birthday, he had two basketball games so
we took the team out for shakes afterward................

it's only once your oldest becomes a teenager....6 more years!

sunday was a family party.............................we're partied out!

full of knowledge

sailor participated in the knowledge bowl on saturday (kids from
all schools compete against each other) she surprised us by
answering more questions than we thought capable--some were
even outside of her area of expertise!--her team finished in the
top 10 (that's the only distinction they'll hand out). she has been
going to school an hour early 3 times a week for about 2 1/2
months--we're glad it paid off. now there will be a plaque hanging
in her school with her name on it!
we are so proud and so glad it's over!

off on her own

skylar had a meet up in logan on saturday.
we decided not to go because it was hayden's b-day.
we packed up her things and sent her off with her blanket, pillow
and money. we sent her with a teammate and her family. we
still feel badly about it but it didn't even faze her! who needs mom?

bangkok, thailand

how exciting! taryn has decided to go on a mission for our church.
she has been called to serve in the bangkok, thailand mission!
the best part of it was just before she opened her letter, i told
her i had an "asian" vibe and she said that she had a dream
the night before that she was going to thailand. and then....
she opened the envelope and read bangkok, thailand! wow!
how cool is that? can you even imagine the adventure?
her mission covers laos, thailand and mayanmar. she will
enter the missionary training center the exact same day as
jordan..................................................................exciting times!

s.o.t.w.

sailor was student of the week last week. she got the award for
being a good friend to everyone. she should get the 4-square
queen award. at recess she beats everyone every single game!

time for a laugh

the twins were happily and quietly playing when i noticed
this sparkly pink headband on boston's face! it must have
felt real comfortable to him...........................................
i think it reminded him of the good old oxygen days!

ryan robert

my cousin, ryan robert, son of uncle gary (pictured here standing)
passed away today. ryan was a big part of my life growing up,
lived right behind us and was the big brother to my best, played-
with-every-day cousin, amy. unfortunately, i don't have a picture
of him, but he was a handsome boy growing up and had a huge
heart.....................our hearts go out to gary, karma, jason, amy,
marnie and ben and his daughter, kortney. it's a sad day.
