falcon basketball

hayden played on the ohs freshmen basketball team this year! which is also
the canyon view 9th grade team. he learned a lot, worked hard, and had fun.

toy story parade

our sweet friend from the netherlands, cate, sent the twins these cute toy story toys.
the twins love lining them up like they are in a parade. they're a little excited...can you tell?!

opposites

boston & brighton are opposties when it comes to animals. boston
likes, brighton doesn't. boston loved feeding these little animals.

brighton was hanging on for dear life. there's no way she was
going to get down. she couldn't climb high enough on my body!

while in cali we went to the wild animal park. there was a soap
opera going on with the gorillas. it was fascinating. we were
crowded around for about 1/2 hour. here is a picture of the
dominant male gorilla who was mad at one of the females.
he followed her around and growled at her the whole time.
the other female gorillas would try to protect her and divert
his attention. she ended up crawling down into the canal and
here he is cowering over her while another female gorilla is
looking disgusted in the background. very very human like!

don't you just love the hand on the hip?!

we could have spent all day here. can't wait to go backY

stinky beach

joe's favorite surfing beach is not his favorite anymore. it's never
been my fave, the walk is far, the sand is poor, and it stinks. bad.

the twins loved it although we were gagging the whole time!

notice the birds--they like to devour all the stinky stuff. ewww.

after a fun day of shopping in santa monica and lunch at johnny
rockets, we couldn't resist taking the twins to the pier..........

boston was up to something--i love his look at brighton.

a summer night in january

the neighborhood park in so cal was a blast. brighton found
flowers to put in her hair and boston dunked a few basketballs!

super b

after vegas, joe and i took the twins to san clemente for a week.
one of my favorite vacations ever. boston had to bring his cape.
in boston's eyes, his cape was flying straight out and he was
going to take flight any minute. how fun to be a kid...............

meet season

our first out-of-state meet of the season was in las vegas. skylar
and i drove down with the twins and sky's teammate, sadie. sky
had been in bed with the flu for a full week prior to this. she was
so sick, we shouldn't have taken her. she ended up scratching 2
events. here the girls are getting ready for their competition.
mckenna (one of the best in the nation and state champion level
10 this year) was helping sadie (state champion this year, lv 8).

skylar ended up competing against girls from all over the u.s., even

australia. she actually placed on the 2 events she did..............yea!

skylar's meet was held in a casino/hotel. the twins would pull

their backpack/suitcases through the casino every day. every

gambling head would turn and watch these two walk through

the sleazy casino. we got so many comments on how cute they

were--toddlers aren't a common thing in the casino world.

whitney and i threw a baby shower for lisel and this is the only
picture i have:( but it's a good one! teri studying a "poopy"
diaper trying to figure out what kind of candy bar is inside!

new years day! 2011

we spent new years day at the anderson's cabin. we ended up
staying all day and night, finally going home about midnight!
the kitchen is always a favorite hang out spot at the cabin!
