we're making progress!

naptime has not been easy lately but we've found a solution!
duh, they're twins.......they love sleeping together! and.......
they sleep longer......................................isn't that so sweet?

swiss days craze

kimberli and i braved swiss days this morning......including babies.
all we saw were waves of people, food, crafts and more crafts!
try navigating a double stroller with hot, sweaty babies through
a sea of ladies carrying giant iron flowers and wood plaques with
sayings on them!

oh yea, we also saw these amazing painted gourds:

--it was all worth it.

who needs a nap?

ever since our trip to kansas city, the twins will not take
a nap. so, to encourage them, we will only give them their
bottles in bed when it is naptime. it's not going over too
well...........they choose to get out of bed, leave their bottles
behind, and cry, cry, cry.

here is boston asleep on our bedroom floor after throwing
a tantrum for about 1/2 hour.

brighton couldn't stay awake any longer.

we didn't just catch boston with his eyes closed,
he also fell asleep in his high chair........help!!!!

where has the time gone?

sorry for the lack of posts.............having 3 kids in school,
1 yr. old twins and lessons like crazy.......there is no time!

back to school

1st day of school pics............we survived this week!!
this was definitely the toughest 1st week of school
we've ever had. it didn't help that mom and dad
were out of town 'til the night before or the fact that
we've had 8 different practices this week (with 2
games tomorrow), dad out of town again, sailor
having separation anxiety (yes, sailor, go figure...).

although, this week may be nice when we compare
it to next week--next week we throw in 2 more
games plus tennis and gymnastics lessons.........
.........................no complaints though, life is good.

kansas city, here we come!

boston and brighton looking for their airplane.........the following
pictures are from our trip to kansas city. it was fun seeing all
the grandma's and grandpa's, and yes, the twins do have a
grandma, it's just impossible to get a picture of her! if you look
closely, she is in one of the pictures (okay, not all of her but
there is proof that part of her was there!)

hang on!

a favorite activity in kansas city is riding on grandpa
bob's desk chair--from the project room to the front
entry, it was the bomb! just remember to hang on
when you hit the hardwood floor or you will hit the
hardwood floor, oh, and don't let your twin push you off!

if you want a good laugh......

take your toddlers to the petting zoo and watch the goats get in
their faces.........so funny, a little bit scary, and very slobbery!



who cares about animals?.............brighton could
buckle her stroller buckle for hooouuurrrssss...
....................................it's just a small obsession.

there's nothing better than cold hose water--it's the

perfect way to wash sticky ice cream off of tummys

and chins!

boston was not going to give it up!

slow down....

we had a great time getting on patrick about his speed racing
and boston had a great time, period. he looovved just being
on the 4-wheeler, brighton was a great passenger for him.
before you know it, he'll be the one giving joe rides!

our baby is starting junior high

out-of-town, no picture, but just had to mark this
day as scary and sad.

hayden is starting junior high today, mom and dad
aren't there to send him off (thank you, best friend,
kristian for being the mom).
