trick-or-treat!

we decided to use mickey & minnie again this year-
boring, i know, but it was just too cute and easy.
they loved it even more than last year

as mulan, boston/mickey, brighton/minnie, asher as luke sky-

walker and finn the coolest cowboy in the west!

these are the only photos i have of sailor's birthday..............oops!
she had an activity-packed party with lots of cute girls. this was
the first game we played, cut the mound of flour and if you make
the hershey's kiss fall, you have to pick it up with your mouth!

sailor had to get it but things turned bad when hayden thought

it would be funny to hold her face down in it. he did it too hard

and she split her lip open. lots of tears and a very mad mom!

a winning clay garden

i was sure sailor was not going to do reflections (the school art
contest)this year. i had zero ideas for her and it is always a lot of
work. well the day before it was due, of course, sailor decided she
wanted to do it. while i was out running errands, she made this:


i was so impressed! it is the cutest thing ever! little stalks of
corn, a head of lettuce, tomatoes growing on the vine.........


melons, pumpkins, carrots, and onions along with a bunny to
eat them!


a whellbarrow!


and two little girls planting seeds in the flower bed! i'm proud
to say that she won! now she moves up to the district level...

osito

skylar has had osito since we lived in connecticut (the name is
copied from lisel's dog that sky loved:)). he's from her dog
phase and has been very very loved and very very played
with, hence the missing ear. while cleaning out the house, we
decided to "d.i." many many things....a whole car full. osito was
one of those things. while in the kitchen, i saw skylar streak
across the porch carrying osito to the other side of the house.
after joe left with the d.i. load, i found osito hidden against the
house..................................i guess he's part of the family for good!

i don't know what these two were doing but they are best buddies!

pumkin land

cornbelly's is our tradition but this year we decided to stay closer
to home and visit this small-town pumpkin patch. the kids had
just as much fun and i saved a lot of time and money!.............

brighton was so mad that she didn't get the "spot" she wanted,

so she stormed off crying!......................................................

once again, not getting the spot she wanted, she was all tears!

while heading out through the greenhouse, boston spotted a

bunny! we had so much fun watching him chase the bunny!

crazy hair day!

who knew preschool had crazy hair day?! one-eyed-brighton was
all for it but i had to convince boston that his hair wasn't crazy! he
was too shy, so we just "put it up" like daddy's and haydens!

teenager sky

skylar turned 13! we decided to throw a huge bash for her. what
better place than her gym?! 30 kids (over half of them boys that
she doesn't dare talk too, thank goodness!) and 1 sky cake.......


what a cute bunch of kids. a cute bunch of very good kids!

the coach in charge had the kids start out with a little warm up.

i made skylar do some tricks since i never get to photograph her

during her workouts or meets. unfortunately my camera was

not on the right setting so they're all blurry but enjoy anyway!

the trampoline/pit was the favorite of the night.................

the kids were bouncing off the walls!

boston was on fire and having a blast!

hayden jumping too high, i cut off his head!

brighton was in heaven. i hardly saw her all night. she was in

her own world......................................................................

the coach decided it was time for a game. run across the gym

without getting touched by the "shark".....................................

boston was totally into it. (forgot to adjust brightness on pictures)

dang!

and then i see the coach carrying skylar toward me. no! i've

seen her in that position before and it was all too familiar.....

the kids gathered around skylar to see what was wrong. she

was just running and stubbed her toe. certainly nothing is wrong?!

the coach telling her it must be dislocated so here he is pulling

on it, getting it back into "place". (um, it was broken in 3 places)

the coach said, there's no way it's broken, she's not even crying.

i said, she broke her leg in 3 places and didn't shed a tear........

her cute, concerned friends keeping her company for the

remainder of the party......................................................

and of course, she's making them laugh!.....................................

joe had to lighten the mood so in typical joe fashion, he got a

game going. here are the kids getting foam pieces for the game.

these cute boys brought this box filled with smaller boxes that

she had to go through to find a bunch of candy! so cute!.........

skylar at her family party 2 nights later. not too happy about

the cast on her leg and the month of being out of gym............
