giant sky

skylar got her giant today!!! (note: this picture is not of her but
this is a picture she took of another gymnast doing a giant. a giant
is the main trick you saw the olympians do in their bar routines--
you swing around the bar in a handstand position.) she's been
working hard and has been close, she finally did it with no coach.
she needs this trick to do well in her level 7 meets.
(which we just found out tonight that her meets start in dec.
and she will be traveling out of state to compete....exciting?)

space center birthday--not just for boys!

today we had skylar's friend party. we went to the space center
which is usually more of a "boy" thing to do but they shouldn't
get to have all the fun! isn't this the cutest bunch of girls ever?

good thing hayden was on board, he's been about
8 times so he knows his way around, he helped
out a lot of the girls. here he is helping sailor and
paige, they were operations control officers!

after being attacked by the aliens and captured, the girls (and
2 boys) were all given weapons when they escaped back to their
ship. for a while sailor and paige could not be found, panic was
starting to set in when they were spotted................................

under their desks, curled up in little balls. (space campers are
supposed to be 10 and over, maybe it was a little too much for
these two!)

she "wasn't scared" but here she is ready to shoot someone
in the feet.


they won their battle against the orions! what a happy and
relieved bunch!

fall festival fun

riding on the train, we were sure the twins would love it!


boston quickly changed his mind...


somehow skylar appointed herself to work at the face-painting
booth. she did a great job but it seemed a little backwards
painting on the teenagers that are usually doing the face painting.


with a steve young connection, shayne always get steve's horse
lady to bring the horses and ponies from the ranch. brighton
was in heaven riding this pony--boston had had enough with
the train, he wouldn't touch a pony.

watch out martha, here come sailor & sky

our elementary school had its fall festival on friday. they always
have a cakewalk with cakes provided by the kids. skylar wanted
to make a "sky" cake--she did a great job and did the whole thing
completely by herself. don't tell but if you use your imagination
it could look like a bird that made his mess on the cake, if you
know what we mean!


sailor made a bathtub cake complete with blue jello for the water.
each girl won a cake on the cakewalk, in fact, sailor won two! good
thing it's sky's birthday this week, we'll be happy to serve them to
fifteen 5th grade girls!

jann

jordan's cute-cute-cute girlfriend, jann, left today for one last visit
home before she goes on her mission to south carolina. we had a
going away get-together monday night at kim's new house and
made s'mores in the fire pit. she is such a good example to all the
kids in the family and a very talented gal---we wish her a great
experience and hope to see her in a year and a half and can't wait
to hear that southern accent!

we should've been there.....

so sad to see the yankees play their last game at yankee stadium.
it's a shame they're tearing it down..........we've had some great
memories there-it really is a magical place. now fenway might
be our favorite park..................................stupid steinbrenner.

happy birthday tay (this is the only picture we have on our computer,
tay is on the right!) when tayler was little she had many nicknames.
tay tay, weezle (sp?), tayler da weez wimmer, lou, lou lou, weezie and
she could belt whitney houston like crazy--it'd be fun to hear that now!

not long enough

last night was the first night the twins did not sleep
in our room (so sad is the way courtney feels, hooray!
is the way joe feels). for the past 3+ weeks we have
been moving bedrooms-the twins room was the last to
get done.

we still aren't done but beds are in and the babies don't
like it one bit. we had a rough night last night..............
maybe we can move them back into our bedroom!

sailor soccer girl

we are right in the middle of soccer season. this is sailor's first
year for competition soccer but she is actually doing an academy
team. she has won every game so far and usually scores 5 or more
goals. today she versed paige's team for the 2nd time. the first
time they played, sailor's team won-today didn't turn out so well!

we guess she's a little competitive. hey, if she can't win,
we're glad paige can! go cousin power!

ahhhh, they'll always get beet red faces together and always be
best friends!

hang on!

the twins love bringing their "bikes" to the soccer games but the
grass is hard to ride on........good thing cooper was there! he had
brighton flying on her bike--she could barely hang on!

a-o.k. ears

the hospital likes to have follow-up appointments
with all nicu babies so today we got to spend 3+
hours visiting different specialists at the nicu
clinic. the best news of the day was the twins
passed their hearing tests! (they previously
failed them) we'll be having nicu follow up-visits for
another year.
the babies get a little confused because they are called
tate and jane when we go. it's so much fun explaining
those aren't their names anymore!
random picture, we know. whenever we take a picture
of something, boston loves to see it on the camera. the
other day he wanted to see pictures so courtney just
started shooting body parts of his for him to see and
walaa! we have an ear!

grandma cathy's in 'da house!

we are so happy to have grandma cathy here visiting.
she probably wishes it was under different circumstances
(she got to spend the day at joe's office!) we love her
cooking and always get treated when she is here. (not
very hospitable of us, we know) one of these days we'll
get a picture of her, until then, we've found this picture

sailor got a best friend award at school! our kids
have gotten a good share of awards in their life
and this one is one of the best--what could be
better than being a best friend?! way to go sailor!
