may 24

last monday we woke up to this. really? may 24? i'm tolerant
of the snow but this was pushing it. i hope our garden is okay.

nicu reunion

we got to go to the annual nicu reunion. it is always so fun to see
nurses that saved the twin's lives. we'll occasionally run into a
familiar baby, but not this year. bouncy houses and slides were
the favorite this year. i didn't get too many pictures but we did
get cotton candy, cookies, popcorn, hot dogs, chips, twinkies,
ice cream bars and balloons. i think the nicu is trying to make
up for all the pain they put these babies through!.................

my kind of get-away

last week i went with a friend on her jet to vegas for the day.
(yes, it looked like the one below) we shopped and shopped
and shopped. (well, i watched while she shopped). i spent the
day trying to get her to not buy me things. honestly. i finally
gave in and she bought me some shoes that were more money
than i'd ever spend. the day was a perfect escape and to tell
you the truth, i hope she invites me again!

foothill 3k

the girl's school had their 3k again. it's very official with police,
miss orem, and hundreds of runners.....................................


sailor wanted joe to run with her again to help pace her. she
was determined to win again. unfortunately no medal this year.
we're blaming it on being stuck in the back of the pack and being
unable to start with those in the front! excuses, excuses...........

so so proud of skylar! after winning the whole school last year,

we were just glad she could kind of run/limp! she had some nice

friends that ran with her and she had a very sore ankle after!

a garden!

hayden has been asking for a garden for years! so, a couple
of weeks ago we made this come true. we let the kids pick
out 3 things each, we made a small (very small) planter,
and hopefully we'll have some yummy food in a few months!



the twins loved swinging and discovering their backyard after
a long winter..................................................................................

toys from thailand

jared went to thailand (and yes, he saw taryn!) and brought home
prizes for all the kids! we had so much fun flinging them into the
night sky and watching them twirl to the ground..........................

a most favorite place

the farm at thanksgiving point is talked about every day since
visiting.......the twins absolutely loved it. the first animal we
saw was the cow and when they got up to the fence they belted
out, "old mcdonald had a farm.......e i e i o" (the whole song).
we couldn't hold back the laughter. i'm sure we'll be going back.


boston was determined to feed the little lamb.
bright wouldn't even come close.....................

everyone got to ride a pony. thanks to hayden for standing in

line for us for 1/2 hour. yes, sailor just got done with soccer!

brighton finally got brave and let go of sailor's hand.....................

you should have seen skylar getting up on the horse. she had

to use her broken leg which had no muscle at the time. it was

shaking--she used every ounce of energy to push on her leg!

outfits

the other day i noticed brighton was in one of her clothes moods.
she gets this excited little light in her eyes..................i gave up
taking pictures after 5 outfits, she's too hard to keep up with!

missionary monday!

starting a trend

after an hour & 1/2, we finally got all the cornrows out. the girls
were feeling sassy and silly! i tried talking them into wearing their
hair like this to school.............................i wasn't too convincing!

prim & vegas

the fun wasn't over just cause we got off the ship! every time we
pass this rollercoaster in prim, we want to stop. well, we did this
time and it was a blast! the best part is that you can get off the
roller coaster and walk right to the outlets. better yet, leave the
guys and the kids on the coaster and go shopping by yourself!


hotel in vegas. we had to do the rides there also. we had to
stretch this vacation out as long as possible! and then finally, home!

no, they weren't drunk

by friday night, we had gone to every corner of the ship....except
the gift shop. we had fun killing time and avoiding the crowd!

one more stop: tacos

tired and hungry, we piled back into our van and asked the driver
to take us one more place: to the best taco stand in ensendad. he
knew just where to take us. joe liked sitting by him and testing
out his spanish on him. problem is, he only knows dental terms
like: open, tooth, tounge.............................................................

boston was beyond tired but would not give up his soda.................


seriously, the best tacos ever. fed the entire family for $9
worth going back for & we didn't even get sick!
