super golfer!

taryn, this one's for you....we just had to
get a shot of asher in his super hero-
muscle man costume.......golfing.......in
100 degree weather! he didn't do too
well, i think his 6-pack got in the way!

comp-e-ti-tion!

could you ever guess this was serious miniature golf?
the boys were intense---so it was nice to see lisel make
a hole-in-one! here they are oooohhing & aaaahhing
over it (actually a few of us girls ended up making some
holes-in-one! even grandma pam!)

we had a fun night mini-golfing---our family was
in charge of the extended family home evening
tonight. we had a little patriotic lesson and then
went to cascade, thanks to the fam for helping
with b&b!

first day of nursery

today boston & brighton got to go to nursery!
what a bittersweet day............they did great
for about 15 minutes until brighton got mad--
mom could hear her from the other side of the
church! her crying made boston cry so mom
got to sit in nursery with them the rest of the
time. we enjoyed: toys, snacks, bubbles, balls,
singing and books. they even colored a picture!
we have a feeling next week won't go so well...

all 3 kids got up on the wakeboard today for the first
time! they got up great, boarded great and crashed
great! i think we owe it to their great teacher, gina!

surf utah lake!

joe and jim tried surfing behind the boat--

it's pretty cool because you get up real close

to the boat and ride the wave! if you do it

right, you don't need the rope..........gnarly!

another first: boating!

today the anderson's invited us boating--
what a blast! it's so nice to get away from
real life for a while.....this was the twins
first time on a boat! they loved it, even
with their lifejackets up around their cheeks!

girl vs. boy

the twins wanted in the thing so badly, so brighton
pretty much got in by herself....notice the leg extension
and the toe point. if you look closely, boston has his
foot about an inch off the ground. that's about how
high he got his leg!
we're just glad boston isn't the one with the leg extension
and toe point!

the thing

oh, do our kids love grandpa jeff's thing--it is a favorite!
what can be better than no roof, no door, no windshield,
no carseats, no seatbelts and no airbag! the twins had
their first ride in it..............................they are hooked!

anticipation

sailor, watching the garden hose fill mike and shayne's
pool--it will only take 2 days to fill.............................
there is still a lot to be done (ie. trellis, fireplace, finish
landscaping, diving board, finish pool house...............)
they now have 3 hoses filling the pool and hopefully
we'll be swimming by monday, everything else should
be done by the middle of july! what a generous contribution--
they know all family members will be dying to use the
pool and they've let everyone know how welcome they are!


okay, why do our pictures always look so far away? when we
take them they seem so close---it makes us (coco) crazy!!!

the yankees lose.....

2008 baseball season is over:( hayden had
some great hits tonight and scored the only
2 runs the yankees got--here he is pitching.

coach joe got the (un)celebratory water jug dumped
over his head--i guess that means his players liked
him?

it was fun having grit and sherry at the game (we played
against cade's red sox team) and they had fun watching
joe get soaked!

1/2 way to christmas!

it's been six months since santa came
(it seems like yesterday).....only 6 more
to go. how about skipping off to hawaii
for christmas?

this is a subliminal message for joe!

happy half birthday!

18 months!!! we wish we could go back to newborn

stage for just a day--time has flown by and we've

loved every minute of it. at a year and a half, pretty

much any time we sit back and just watch the twins,

they are doing something that makes us smile and

laugh!

tonight we had big plans for a 1/2 b-day celebration

(with cupcakes to be eaten--the babies never really

did the traditional first birthday cake eating) so we

were going to do it tonight but someone borrowed

our camera and we haven't gotten it back:(

(we couldn't do the cupcake thing without a camera--

no way!)

so, we skipped our little party and went and played

tennis! cupcakes will have to wait...........................

37 years ago......

joey got this red wagon for his 1st birthday 37 years
ago (next month)! weird to think he sat in this same
wagon--we are so lucky to have it, the babies love it!

spring (summer) cleaning

ahhhh, it feels good! we got rid of so much junk! (actually
a lot of it was nice stuff but we have to simplify.................)
we got one load taken away, another load going to d-i tomorrow,
another load going to the dump tomorrow and then a few more
days of going through everything else and hopefully chucking half
of that stuff.......................................................space feels good!

shower time!

saturday was whitney's baby shower filled with lots
of good thanksgiving point food, lots of presents and
lots of girls talking. whitney is ready and waiting--
about a week and 1/2 to go and we won't have a
babysitter anymore:(!

the yankees win!!!!!

hayden was the closer in tonights 14-8 win against the
royals! he also played short and 2nd...................dude.

take me out to the ballgame!

hayden begins tournament play today.....that means
baseball is almost over. we'll be cheering on the yankees
tonight and hopefully again monday night!

brighton has a new obsession with sitting on things.
it must make her feel "big"---she will work at it until
her little bum is sitting! (the remote was tricky and
the box of crayons, she kept slipping!)

so much fun!

father's day ended with a great game of kick ball. it was
cold and dark and the kids still didn't want to leave (kids
includes joe and jared)!

this has got to be one of the most fun things to do

the babies are very aware of strangers and christian
is one of them. this is about as close as they've let
him get.....putting grass on brighton's legs. boston
thought it was pretty funny! keep working on it
chris, in no time you'll be the favorite uncle and they'll
be yelling "chrislisel"!
