trick or treats and treats and treats

family pictures were not easy this halloween,
you will see for yourself as you scroll through our day & night:

the kids got more candy than they've ever gotten (skylar's

pumpkin bucket handle even broke from the weight), the

twins loved handing out candy and were good at giving 5

candies to one kid or totally missing their bucket, (they sat on

the front porch just waiting for kids to come)

we'll give you a quarter if you can find hayden in this picture.

boston's antennae's blend right in with the background.

this is the best we got. notice coco sitting behind them with the

death grip on them and a sugar daddy in each of their hands.

it's always fun to wear your costume to school! everyone was
happy until we sprayed sky's hair red (like pippi) and she
looked in the mirror. guess what.............. she was not happy.
pippi longstocking was being a baby!

bright eyes

this was brighton all night...constantly on the lookout. wondering.
feeling a little nervous. never cracking a smile or a frown.
doesn't make for good picture taking.

scary

7th grade, perfect age for scaring little kids! this is about the
only picture where you can see hayden! here he is on the
right with his best friend, nic. many kids will be having
nightmares tonight about gorillas!

vampires, hippies & nerds, oh my!

grandma pam had everyone over for pizza and group photos.
we have: gorilla, 80's girl, batgirl, pea in a pod, yoda w/afro,
nerd, nerdy superhero man, witch, pippi, baby, hippie, vampire,
boba fett, indiana jones, flower, bee and indiana jones w/a
broken leg.

best costume of the night: cowboy wade with his fake mustache.
of course, no picture.

so, that's fire....

the twins always see the fire in their "goodnight moon" book.
they touch it and say "hot"! here they have just discovered
real fire! very fascinating--one of the highlights of the night.

they were even able to blow it out...it's a fascinating

world when you're one & a half. (we mean 1 & 3/4)

halloween eve

we're getting ready! who knew the twins would like witch hats
so much? let's hope they like their costumes just as much......

happy to be your parents

it's been one of those days that makes us so glad to have hayden
for a son. we are so lucky and wouldn't want you any different.
we Y you and are proud of you.
(boston, you're not so bad yourself!)

we voted!

with 2 babies and joe having a full schedule next tuesday, we
decided (while joe had some free time today) to go and vote
early. it was a little anti-climatic (it's always fun to be right
in the buzz of election day) but it was nice to not have to
wait in a long line. we proudly wore our "i voted" stickers
all day and our kids were very excited....sailor wishes she
were 18 so she could vote!
happy voting.............but more importantly, happy results.

magness o'lanterns

we spent 10 minutes lighting the candles so our pumpkins would
glow and you can't even tell.........................oh well, the kids and
pumpkins are happy!

it's always a fun, favorite day when you can wear hair like this.

kangaroo zoo

sailor took her best friends to kangaroo zoo for her birthday.

missing: paige, emerson, madeline, indi & skylar

9 year old girls are the perfect age for 1 year old babies. i could

have left for an hour while they sent the twins down the slide.
