it's one of those days where everyone and everything is buggin'
we really wish we could just go somewhere..............................
greece would be nice.

playing in the makeup

we don't exactly have makeup around our house but
lip smackers is the closest thing to it and brighton
loves it! it is her new fave and every single day she
raids the bathroom drawer and paints her face
strawberry, lemonade or bubble gum--she's even tried
painting boston's face and throws a fit if you try to take
it away! (it's all okay, we need a princess in the family).

do not turn your back.....

the other night while blogging, in only a few minutes time,
brighton gave herself another hair treatment--this time it
was completely caked. not sure if you can tell in the pics
but it was thick and she was in heaven! we have a friend
that puts mayonaise in her hair and leaves it on for a while
.............................................we prefer strawberry yogurt.

this is for real.....

we have this growing in our back yard! we really
can't brag about our yard (one of these days we'll
landscape) but we want to brag about this amazing
hydrangea--it must be our connecticut genes coming
through! ........................................isnt' she pretty?

crash up derby

what a strange but entertaining event! we spent saturday night
in midway where they were celebrating derby days...the whole
town came out! we saw head on collisions, cars on fire, trucks
rolling, bloody faces with broken noses and a sheriff escorting
a participant out!
we kept trying to decide if we would ever enter ourselves in a
derby..............................................................would you ever?

happy birthday asher!

asher is 3 and likes star wars, indiana jones and the incredible
hulk--how did that happen so fast? he is boy through & through.
happy day, ash!

what a lovely day for a lovely couple--carly and griffin are married!

zootah

for utah's birthday, we celebrated by taking the twins to the zoo
for the first time! the excitement and wonder they had when
they saw a real elephant was indescribable--all they could do
was raise their arm like a trunk! so stinky, so sweaty and sticky
and so fun!

sorry we didn't get you a new ducati for your birthday but
hopefully your golf game will improve! we love you, happy day!

8-square

anytime joe can get any kind of game going, he is loving it....
it was his birthday party but he wasn't getting any special
treatment--quite often he's the one everyone wants to get
out! we had about 14 people playing 8 square--here is joe
with his special moves, trying to get out andie who was in the
queen's spot. we usually have a game of 4-square going
every night if anyone wants to come join!

spandex sling

last night we celebrated christian & joe's birthday--part of the
party was playing in the spandex sling.........................so fun!!!
just stretch it back, and it launches you to the other side!
just protect your teeth and other parts--you may end up
colliding like sage and sadie did!

happy birthday paige!

oh, paige, you're getting so old! we are so glad you were born!
a few little tidbits about paige: she's almost 2 yrs. younger than
sky but she's a head taller, she is awesome at soccer, tennis,
gymnastics, rock band, and playing. she is a tough girl but nice
and sweet at the same time, she has an awesome six-pack and
she looks really cute in a pink, poufy birthday hat! happy day!

isabel

to be honest, there aren't too many kids that would
be enjoyable to have around for 3 days.....................
we got to have one of skylar's best friends, isabel,
stay with us for the weekend and it was very fun!
skylar and isabel are a lot alike and they played and
played and played--they only stopped to do sky's
chores which isabel ended up doing most of them!

.....now if we could only have kids that others would
be happy to have around for 3 days....we're working
on it!

hayden and the gang of kids after the concert

we (hayden & court) went to the american idol concert last night--
it was so much fun, our favorites were: brooke, jason castro, kristy
lee cook, david cook and of course david-nobobdy knew my name
6 months ago and now i can't walk down the sidewalk-archuleta!

twisting tornado

saturday was skylar's end-of-season gymnastics
party where they hand out awards.............sky
got the twisting tornado award! her coach said
she can twist any trick-even if her layout is a foot
off the ground, she can sneak in a full twist before
she lands! (for those of you that don't know gym-
nastics lingo, this is a really cool thing!)...............

.................she must have gotten it from her dad,
he's always telling us he's the kansas tornado!

hayden's home!

what a great sight to see! hayden just got home,
he looks tan and tall and he's ready for a nice
warm shower and his comfy bed--(he's been at
scout camp for the week) he got to do archery,
rifle shooting, canoeing, rowing and other fun things!

welcome to this world!

baby ferguson was born just after midnight last night!
9 lbs. 2 oz., 21 in. long (our babies didn't weigh 9 lbs.
until they were about 6 months old!) after being at the
hospital for 14 hours, whitney was finally able to push-
over 2 1/2 hours of pushing and still no baby....she was
wheeled into the o.r. for a c-section and here he is!!!

brighton & boston cruising around the halls--they were born
just inside those doors................................what memories!

paige, sailor and sky all getting a peek at the new baby--
they could have stayed all night!

it's 1:15 and we're just leaving the hospital (before
someone calls child services on me--we just couldn't
leave without seeing the baby!)

we miss u dad!

whenever we drive by joe's office the babies go, "da"
hurry home.......................the babies want to play!

we miss hayden too, each of our kids has a song that was
picked for them when they were born. today hayden's
song came on the radio and skylar started crying--she
actually misses him, teasing and all.....................sweet!

it's 10:13pm and we're heading to the hospital in hopes
that whitney's baby will be born soon! we'll keep you posted!

he's a walkin' boy

boston took his first step at the end of april, then
turned it into steps the middle of june but he's
still just been crawling/walking.
today was the first day he didn't crawl at all and he
was able to stand up by himself to get walking!

we've been waiting for this day to officially say:
boston is walking!! we are so proud!!

we've got spirit,yes we do....?

sailor, paige, indi, sloane, beaux & sadie went to a timpview cheer
clinic this week! here are sailor & paige performing--this picture
is of them doing a shimmy but it was more like the robot! we might
just stick with soccer.............................................go sailor!

boss & bright can look at books for a very long time, whether they
are being read to or just on their own........................they love it!
