preschool grads

the twins had the cutest, most entertaining preschool graduation this past spring.  their teacher, mrs. young, was so impressive and we are so lucky to have had her for a teacher.  here are the twins during their "march in".  (how did we get to preschool graduation so fast?  they just graduated from the nicu!)
we were entertained by a bunch of darling songs, all of them included hand motions.  this song was the abc's, they learned the alphabet in sign language.  i couldn't keep the smile off of my face:)

okay, terrible photography, i know.  but at this moment, brighton had just gotten her diploma and with each diploma handed out, the teacher would announce what the kids want to be when they grow up.  brighton said she wanted to be a mom:)

here is boston and his announcement that he wants to be mickey mouse when he grows up!  (let's hope that dream doesn't come true!) the crowd errupted into laughter!

i'm soooooo glad they have one more year of preschool before they're gone every day to kindergarten. 



my girlie girl

at the end of the school year, brighton had her year-end dance recital. 

she was curled and pink and ready to go!  we invited the whole family!

the lovely headband on top of her head kept slipping, this is when everything went downhill.  about 10 seconds after this she was running to me crying!

after some hugs and then some threats!  she finally got back on stage for this dance routine!

as you can see--no brighton.  the tears came again and she was done.   thanks to all the family that came--sorry you only saw about 3 leaps and some skipping.  we'll try again next year!

local hero day

as the school year ended, the twins' preschool teacher invited firemen, policemen, and emt's to come to preschool and talk to the kids about safety.  the kids also got to check out all of their vehicles.  boston was in heaven!  skye goes to the same preschool so we got to see her there also!  here they are in front of a police car!

the kids were waiting in line to spray the fireman's hose, they were getting overspray all over them!  they thought it was pretty exciting!

as soon as the water came out, brighton was done!  a little too much for her!

boston got invited to his first official "friend" birthday party!  he's been invited to a lot of family parties but never a friend party!  brighton has been invited to several so it was very exciting when he finally got an invitation!  here he is with his cape because it was luke's superhero party!

hope of america (again!)

sailor participated in the hope of america program.  this is our 3rd time going!  it's alway very
patriotic and very long:)  if you look closely, she's in the middle section, 5th row up (1st row of red), 4th one in from the right!

i love that brighton will wrestle with boston. 
this time it included going over the top of the couch and then falling off!
